Human trafficking is the exploitation of individuals through forced labor or commercial sex. Labor trafficking, or forced labor, involves using force, threats, or deception to compel someone to work in industries such as agriculture, construction, or domestic service. The I-5 corridor contributes to a high rate of human trafficking in Oregon and Washington. Globally, forced labor generates an estimated $50 billion in illegal profits, affecting millions. This informational forum/training will provide an in-depth look at labor trafficking, focusing on collaborative strategies to meet the needs of survivors.
